Born Eric Williams in Lakeland, Florida, Gutta Baby was introduced to music through his uncle Laray Williams at a very young age. He learned poetry where he quickly mastered the art of wordsmith. So it was nothing for Gutta Baby to listen to his first instrumental and apply the proper lyrics for that song to be considered a hit. After a few brief prison sentences, the ATL rapper headed to Texas to develop his career. “Everything’s big in Texas, including the state. Take over the four major cities here and you just have to make it,” was his response when asked why here. During his seven years stay in Corpus Christi, Tx, Gutta has spawned two little boys, Nasi’el Andrew Williams and Jakeem Andre’ Williams; six albums, including his debut on TGL mix cd with TRON, Streets and Jimmie B; over 100 beats; produced over 60 songs; and consulted for indie label CTR/BMMG and promotional company Niko G Promotions. “At this Point I feel that I have done so much, to continue on this path will leave me with a satisfied life. Not to say I’m not trying to go global, or even Universal, but I won’t be heart broken, especially with all I have accomplished.”
