Will They Even Be There?

Three of the biggest names in hiphop have turned down Grammy show producer Ken Ehrlich invites to perform at this years Grammy's. With their respective reps not answering any questions yet about there appearances at the grammy's, it leaves one to wonder if this is a social stand for something.

We know Drake is irritated at the fact that he won Best Rap Song in 2017 for a song that wasn't even a rap song "Hotline Bling," recognizing the fact that a more noteworthy RAP song could have taken that award, like "Ultralight Beam".

Ariana Grande also declined to perform when when producers asked her to not perform her newest single "7 Rings." She came after the producer, Stating that he was lying about her in an interview Ken had, where he stated the artist "felt it was to late to pull something together." Stating on Social Media, "I've kept my mouth shut but now you're lying on me."

But it seems like, and have been mentioned more than once, that as soon as rap became apart of the Grammy's in 2002, it doesn't seem to be partial in rewarding rappers. Especially after last year when Kendrick dominated the Rap categories, but lost to Bruno Mars "24k Magic" for Album of the Year. And, not to take away from Bruno but Kendrick dropped an album that faced the nation with a mirror and brought social and criminal injustices to light. Which could be the very reason it lost.

In his interview, Ehrlich victimizes the Hip hop community. "The fact of the matter is, we continue to have a problem in the hip hop world," he told the Times. "When they don't take home the big prize, the regard of the academy, and what the Grammy's represent, continues to be less meaningful to the hip hop community which is sad."

One thing I must say is that it doesn't get less meaningful to the hip hop community. If anything, it brings to light the meaning of the Grammy's, in the same way we know the Police were not created here to protect Blacks. Maybe, we are seeing that the Grammy's added the rap categories in the same light that they built the slave quarters, to keep those of us pacified while you all divide up the true fortune of worldwide acceptance. Well, one thing you must now accept is that the hip hop has now become the #1 genre listened worldwide. The first time since it's creation. So, you will be getting more votes for Rap categories, if the Grammy's live that long.

Drake Racially Profiled?

So has Drake really been Racially Profiled.

It wasn't that long ago, when Pusha T reminded some and showed the reest of the world Drake in Black Face. Some of us accepted it. Some of us made excuses for him, while others did not give him a pass on that reckless behavior. So it's with that in his recent past that makes me call BS on his accusation on being racially profiled at a casino. For one, Casinos only see Green, not black and white. That's like anti-Casino. But second, He never stated how he was racially Profiled, only that he was not allowed to spend his enormously large bank account in a casino. So I had to do a little investigating to find out the truth...

What I mostly found was that the hotel and Casino was investigating the incident without any cooperation from the artist nor his entourage. Then, I decided to entertain the comment section of ParqVancouverBC Instagram posts and was astounded of all the Drakes fans Comments on his alleged altercations. That's when I ran across a response from what seem to be an employee of Parq, who had a reasonable explanation worthy of researching.

So according to gaming regulators BCLC, they have restricted certain activities that would have otherwise been used to launder money for criminals. So they weren't saying that Aubrey was to black to gamble there. But that there are to many dope dealers in Canada.

DJ Funk Flex Burns Drake Stans

DJ Funk Flex Drops the truth about real Hip Hop

The world of HipHop has  evolved into such a commercial entity that now ghostwriting is another job position at a label that signs "REAL" Rappers. The most recent controversy over a G.O.A.T. taking ghostwriters for alot of projects, is Drake. As he is known for being a great performer and entertainer, his fans have been deluded into thinking hes more than that. But if you can't count how many songs the label has had written for you vs the songs you have written yourself, you have now became a court Jester. Or how DJ Funk Flex has mentioned above: a karaoke singer that can make us dance.

Not to take away from his awesome ability to write classics and hits, but when you are a battle rapper, or involving yourself in a battle rap, Ghostwriting is an automatic "L". Hands down he ate Meek Mills lunch right in front of him, but his recent beef with PUSHA T is a clear cut lost. Not to mention Funk Flex's tweet that seems to point out a major error in the battle.

DJ Funk Flex has been giving us underground music and new Hip Hop and Rap as well as RnB for a number of years and can even be considered an expert on Hip Hop and Rap. So, he is very justified and should be listened to when he named Nicki Minaj and Lil Pump amongst some of the worst artists ever. How are you going to bombard you way into a scene that you have only had mediocre success in, Battle Rapping, and think you can call the shots. This isn't your arena and where as James Prince was quiet in regards to your back and forth with Meek Mills, who also had a shaky foundation in MMG with Rick Ross at the time, had to step in to pull PUSHA off of you. Drake is an actor turned rapper so dictating rules to a decades old establishment is not his place at all.

Now it needs to be address that Drake doesn't have many songs written for him. In fact what alot of artists do not tell you, is if your friend gives you one line out of 48 bars then by law you can attribute him as a writer on your song. This is what alot of rappers mean by letting their friends eat as well. But when you are not playing in your league you do not get to place the rules.

And with that said, DRAKE STANS TAKE THAT "L"
