Brothers in Revolution, Divided Paths: Bob Marley vs. Peter Tosh

Image
Peter Tosh/ Bob Marley: Brothers in Revolution, Divided Paths Reggae music boasts few figures as iconic as Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. Though their names are often uttered in the same breath, their musical approaches and personalities differed greatly. This post explores the history of these reggae titans, their time with the legendary Wailers, the reasons for their split, and how their contrasting styles could have formed a formidable creative force. Roots in the Wailers: Marley and Tosh, along with Bunny Wailer, formed the Wailers in 1963. The group gave voice to the frustrations of Jamaica's underclass, their early ska tunes brimming with social commentary. Marley, the charismatic frontman, possessed a smooth, soulful voice and a knack for crafting catchy melodies. Tosh, the gritty guitarist and songwriter, brought a more militant edge, his lyrics fiercely challenging authority. Together, they were a force, revolutionizing Jamaican music. [New Video] Common- HER Love ft. Daniel Caesar

Image
Her Love By Common Ft. Daniel Caesar Common has been a master of words and poetry since the mid 90's and his days of COMMON SENSE. Always the voice of reason he continues to be a lyricist of pure substance who steers completely away from the destructive lyrics of today's Rap. Always uplifting Women, Children, and his fellow Brothers, as a revolution has been taken place since he was born. That is why as beautiful as his newest video, HER Love ft. Daniel Caesar, Is not so shocking but far from disappointing. Once again, praising adoration for the beautiful Black woman with lyrics of Wisdom and Motivation. But the biggest surprised came in at 1:31 in the video where he poetically speaks life into a woman and Name drops Nipsey Hussle in a spoken word poem in the middle of the song. It is definitely worth a listen and should not be taken lightly as one of the more lyrical songs out so far this year.

Young Thug Drops the official video to Chanel (Go Get It) off his latest album this year Slime Language .  Featuring Lil Baby and Gunna, past collaborators on album Drip Harder , are seen wandering around the woods with a large snake in essence of the Slime Movement. TakeOff has been working hard this year with his album release The Last Rocket earlier this year, by dropping a video to his single Casper. The Migos rapper shows how his lyrics are out of this world by taking us to another planet. Video production is not lacking as two bad honies bless the screen with their presence. B.E.N.N.Y The Butcher after dropping Tana Talk 3 a week ago, is back with his video Broken Bottles. As the visuals weren't based around CGI, Benny kept it at hip hops core by hiring Mercenary Films to film the video of the r

[VIDEO] 6ix9ine admits to placing hit on Chief Keefs cousin.

Image
This Video could be damning evidence If the feds didn't have evidence before now, they have it now. 6ix9ine was caught on video talking about a $30,000 hit that he put on Chief Keef's cousin Tadoe. TMZ broke the story earlier today. The incident happened in May, days before the June 2nd shooting where's police believed Chief keef was the target. as he was FaceTiming Tadoe, 69 seem not to be bothered by the camera that was recording the conversation that he was having which would clearly indicate this may be some form of viral marketing that this artist is known for. Some fans feel he has lyrical skills on the mic. While, other fans feels like he is just a character portraying an image in an industry that is known for gaining success by being controversial.

Tory Lanez CoSigns Joyner Lucas

Image
Tory Lanes on the Litty Again Freestyle Tory Lanez Comes beast mode on the Litty Beat once again gunning after Joyner Lucas to "come down to spank you niggas," and "that's older brother status" after spitting a 4 minute M-16 style freestyle. At the end, he lets Joyner know if he blows after this it was because Lanez cosigned him. This is getting very interesting after Lucas called Tory Lanez a Goat but his self a Dinosaur alluding to the original Jurassic Park.  One thing can be said, this is getting Meek Mills a lot of attention for his upcoming album . A great marketing ploy (hint hint...)

Battle Rap Weekly

Even Japan has the culture embedded into their commercial living. But, better than that the Hood has grown this lyrical past time into a genre of its own and SBC TV wants to bring the toughest battles the game has ever seen. A nd with names like FYE , TH3 SAGA , Loaded Lux , and more from all across the country.  So, tune back here
