American Pharaoh: The Original This Is America

American Pharaoh

Jase Harley was robbed

At First, when I heard some rapper named Jase Harley called my boy Donald "Childish Gambino" Glover a house slave, I thought and who is this cat think he is DJango. But, after doing a little more research on him, I only have one question: HOW DID WE LET CHILDISH GAMBINO STEAL THIS MAN SONG?

The resemblance of the songs screams more than simple biting or inspiration. This Is America Is Straight Hijacked.

Now, we all know that artists are inspired by other artists, even to the point where back in the nineties, successful artists would not take a demo tape on fear of being accused of stealing songs. But, I haven't seen one article where Danny Glover is admitting he at least borrowed the New York rappers most Viral song American Pharaoh, to create This Is America. Which means the song is stolen.

One thing that Childish Gambino did do for the song is have an excellent choreographed video that encapsulated the entire Black essence in America. But, even that is tarnished by the mere fact that Jase was not even consulted for any type of production of the song nor video.

Which makes things worse, for it leaves a precedent for this to happen again. Next time, it can be your song. and you will have to live with the fact that you will never be recognized for your work. Jase has been quietly supporting Glover's success with the song but was not happy at the fact Donald did not show up to the Grammy's to put more context behind the song.

"I feel extremely humbled to be recognized and labeled as one or the original inspirations for one of the most important pieces of music and visual art of our time.

I appreciate all the love and support! But PLEASE DON’T let this controversy dilute the message me and @childishgambino are trying to convey. We are speaking about injustices we’ve encountered and he’s helped to provide a platform for all our voices to be heard. Let’s not discredit him for that! The focus should be on affecting change in our communities and building equality. This is bigger than me and him and bigger than music. Let’s not lose focus."

Meanwhile, Fam Rothstein of Donald Glover’s management team Wolf + Rothstein denied the speculation in a since-deleted tweet, stating that “This Is America” is three years old.

Seeing how it's deleted I guess someone Fact Checked him Huh.

Lil Pump Locked Up, Too?

Lil Pump Arrested at Airport over Weed Smell

Image result for Lil Pump Booking Photo

Lil Pump was arrested in Miami, 12-14-2018, after the pilot was tipped off to luggage belonging to Lil Pumps Party, may contain marijuana because of the intense smell it emitted. Not wanting to be caught up on trafficking charges, the pilot confronted Lil Pump in what Lil Pump says was "being accusatory", and was not ready to easily back down, even when TSA got involved.
After exchanging un-pleasantries, Lil Pump and his manager were hauled off to jail. It turns out that the suspicious smelling bag, was in fact one of his crew members. And to put the icing on the cake, THERE WERE NO DRUGS TO BE FOUND...
So, not only is the rapper and the manager going to sit a night in jail over a humbug, but because of a mishandling of a situation, Lil Pump misses his flight to Cali and any business he was scheduled to conduct out there.
Theres two things to take away from this. One: The Pilot though being right in his concern, approached the young rapper wrong because of how he saw him, as a young rapper. One not needing respect. So, by falsely accusing Lil Pump of Trafficking, he invited much unnecessary turmoil to a uoung aspiring rapper.
Two: If Lil Pump was aware (Or even if he wasn't) that there was no marijuana in the bag he should have let the people do their job so they could have apologize publicly to him and he could have held them responsible. Not everything requires feedback of the controversial level. UNLESS THIS IS MARKETING. In which case, all rules are out. This reminds me of the Kodak Black walk out on Hot 97, when he was faced with a very real question about his Sexual abuse case. Don't make yourself look anymore guilty than you already are, especially if you are black.
But nonetheless, this isn't a 69 career ending fight he's facing and I believe he will be in Cali by Wednesday.
The update from TMZ:
12/14 8:50 AM PT -- According to court records, Pump and his manager entered a not guilty plea through their attorney.

12/14 6:50 AM PT
-- Law enforcement sources now confirm Pump's story. The baggage handlers who were putting luggage in the baggage compartment smelled a strong odor of weed coming from a bag labeled Garcia -- Pump's government name. The captain then went to Pump and the rapper felt the pilot was being accusatory. The pilot eventually kicked Pump and his manager off the plane for being disruptive and it continued to get contentious in the terminal when cops were talking to them, so both were arrested for disorderly conduct. The bag, which was owned by a member of Pump's crew, was opened and NO DRUGS were inside.
6:15 PM PT -- A source connected with Pump tells TMZ, no drugs were found. The source says TSA flagged a bag that smelled like weed and was "mistagged."  Agents questioned Pump, who insisted he was not carrying drugs. The source adds no drugs were found in the bag, which another person in Pump's crew said was his. Pump was arrested along with his manager because they allegedly became disorderly during the argument with TSA agents.

Drake Racially Profiled?

So has Drake really been Racially Profiled.

It wasn't that long ago, when Pusha T reminded some and showed the reest of the world Drake in Black Face. Some of us accepted it. Some of us made excuses for him, while others did not give him a pass on that reckless behavior. So it's with that in his recent past that makes me call BS on his accusation on being racially profiled at a casino. For one, Casinos only see Green, not black and white. That's like anti-Casino. But second, He never stated how he was racially Profiled, only that he was not allowed to spend his enormously large bank account in a casino. So I had to do a little investigating to find out the truth...

What I mostly found was that the hotel and Casino was investigating the incident without any cooperation from the artist nor his entourage. Then, I decided to entertain the comment section of ParqVancouverBC Instagram posts and was astounded of all the Drakes fans Comments on his alleged altercations. That's when I ran across a response from what seem to be an employee of Parq, who had a reasonable explanation worthy of researching.

So according to gaming regulators BCLC, they have restricted certain activities that would have otherwise been used to launder money for criminals. So they weren't saying that Aubrey was to black to gamble there. But that there are to many dope dealers in Canada.

DJ Funk Flex Burns Drake Stans

DJ Funk Flex Drops the truth about real Hip Hop

Related image Image result for Drake images

The world of HipHop has  evolved into such a commercial entity that now ghostwriting is another job position at a label that signs "REAL" Rappers. The most recent controversy over a G.O.A.T. taking ghostwriters for alot of projects, is Drake. As he is known for being a great performer and entertainer, his fans have been deluded into thinking hes more than that. But if you can't count how many songs the label has had written for you vs the songs you have written yourself, you have now became a court Jester. Or how DJ Funk Flex has mentioned above: a karaoke singer that can make us dance.

Not to take away from his awesome ability to write classics and hits, but when you are a battle rapper, or involving yourself in a battle rap, Ghostwriting is an automatic "L". Hands down he ate Meek Mills lunch right in front of him, but his recent beef with PUSHA T is a clear cut lost. Not to mention Funk Flex's tweet that seems to point out a major error in the battle.

DJ Funk Flex has been giving us underground music and new Hip Hop and Rap as well as RnB for a number of years and can even be considered an expert on Hip Hop and Rap. So, he is very justified and should be listened to when he named Nicki Minaj and Lil Pump amongst some of the worst artists ever. How are you going to bombard you way into a scene that you have only had mediocre success in, Battle Rapping, and think you can call the shots. This isn't your arena and where as James Prince was quiet in regards to your back and forth with Meek Mills, who also had a shaky foundation in MMG with Rick Ross at the time, had to step in to pull PUSHA off of you. Drake is an actor turned rapper so dictating rules to a decades old establishment is not his place at all.

Now it needs to be address that Drake doesn't have many songs written for him. In fact what alot of artists do not tell you, is if your friend gives you one line out of 48 bars then by law you can attribute him as a writer on your song. This is what alot of rappers mean by letting their friends eat as well. But when you are not playing in your league you do not get to place the rules.

And with that said, DRAKE STANS TAKE THAT "L"
