2020 Murdered Rappers

Image
Rappers Murdered in 2020 We Lost Alot This Year: The Hip Hop Community has always suffered tragedies. Me, Personally, the two hardest losses I've had to endear is the lost of Tupac and Nipsey Hussle, ironically two West Coast legends. The worst detail about all these deaths is that they happened by the hands of other black men. (Let me get on my soapbox real quick and say We need to stop this CRIME IN OUR COMMUNITIES, I don't believe in Black on Black Crime.)  But, in 2020 it seemed as, even though we all had it rough, rappers were literally targets especially in Dallas Tx. With shootings on almost every street, even Boosie got caught in the leg. Thankfully he survived.  But what about those that didn't well lets honor them by remembering their music: Bashar Barakah Jackson  (July 20, 1999 – February 19, 2020), known professionally as  Pop Smoke , was an American rapper, singer and songwriter. Image
Her Love By Common Ft. Daniel Caesar Common has been a master of words and poetry since the mid 90's and his days of COMMON SENSE. Always the voice of reason he continues to be a lyricist of pure substance who steers completely away from the destructive lyrics of today's Rap. Always uplifting Women, Children, and his fellow Brothers, as a revolution has been taken place since he was born. That is why as beautiful as his newest video, HER Love ft. Daniel Caesar, Is not so shocking but far from disappointing. Once again, praising adoration for the beautiful Black woman with lyrics of Wisdom and Motivation. But the biggest surprised came in at 1:31 in the video where he poetically speaks life into a woman and Name drops Nipsey Hussle in a spoken word poem in the middle of the song. It is definitely worth a listen and should not be taken lightly as one of the more lyrical songs out so far this year.
